Over the next 3 weeks, your children will be assessed, on their soccer abilities.  Players will be split into teams based on their evaluation results, and prior performance on teams.  Where there is limited distinction between players (or where players are not evaluated for team selection), due consideration is given to other objectives: having friends and neighbours play together, having good coaches on every team, accommodating a players other commitments, putting players of the same age (birth year) together.  We will fine tune them if they need to be tuned, and then we will hand out the jerseys.

All practices and games start at 7:00pm until the first week of August, then all games start at 6:30pm, the schedule will show the time and the fields. Shin pads and outdoor soccer shoes are a must.  Please bring water and bug repellent.

King United SC creates Coach Education and Training Program for its volunteer coaches

Coaching children is a very rewarding experience and King United SC appreciates the dedicated volunteer coaches because the coach is the front line between the parents / kids and the club. It's because of this that we are expanding the level of support the club is offering our coaches as we know that long term player development starts with our coaches and the club creating an environment for fun and learning.  Please see the Coach's Corner / Coach Education and Training Program

    Vounteer Appreciation

King United Soccer Club is run entirely by volunteers.  The Board of Directors would like to thank all coaches and convenors in their respective leagues for their time and dedication to the sport of soccer and the youth in this town that play it.  We know it isn't always easy to make it to the field with a smile, but each week we see this happening, and we want to acknowledge the efforts made by these extraordinary individuals.  Thank you!

Clarifying Some Misconceptions Around Long-Term Player Development (LTPD)

While the LTPD initiative is a directive from Canadian Sport for Life and mandated by the Canadian Soccer Association, it is not something we are doing in Ontario because “we have to”.  It’s time that we change a system that needs to progress and evolve for the benefit of our youngsters in the game.
